چکیده
T. Lis, P. Musiał, K. Nowacki Silesian University of Technology, Department of Metallurgy, Katowice, Poland The metallurgical industry is one of the largest sources of wastes. Some of them, however, owing to their content of metals such as zinc or ir on, may become valuable secondary raw materials. In order to achieve that purpose, they require appropriate preparation. This ar ticle provides a discussion on the methods of pr eparation of scrap fr om steelworks, namely deposits containing iron oxides, enabling their recycling.

Investigations of the Material Composition of Iron-containing Tails of the Enrichment of the Mining and Processing Combines of the Kursk Magnetic Anomaly of Russia
The inevitable depletion of mineral resources, the constant deterioration of the geological and mining conditions for the development of mineral deposits and the restoration of raw materials from mining waste by recycling are all urgent problems we face today. The solution to this problem may ensure: a considerable extension of raw material source; decrease of investments in opening new deposit...
متن کاملPrimary analysis for enhancing the iron oxide and alteration minerals, using ETM+ data: a case study of Kuh-e-Zar gold deposit, NE Iran
Different types of iron oxides deposits have been identified along the Khaf – Dorouneh volcanic and plutonic belt in north east of Iran. Kuh-e-Zar is one of these ore deposits known as Fe- oxide gold deposit. The main purpose of this paper is to detect and discriminate the iron oxide minerals in this area based on the ETM+ data. Data processing has been done by ENVI (Environment for Visualizing...
متن کاملمقایسه کانسارCu-Ag-Au قلعه زری با دیگر کانسارهای نوع Iron Oxides Cu-Au (IOCG) و ارائه ردهبندی جدید
The Qaleh-Zari specularite- rich Cu-Au-Ag deposit is located 180 Km south of Birjand. Host rocks are mainly Tertiary andesites and andesitic basalts and some Jurassic shales and sandstones. Andesitic rocks from the western region of Qaleh-Zari were dated to 40.5±2 Ma. Four trends of faults and joints are identified in the mine area. The oldest is mineralized. Three major sub-parallel quartz ve...
متن کاملIron oxides stimulate sulfate-driven anaerobic methane oxidation in seeps.
Seep sediments are dominated by intensive microbial sulfate reduction coupled to the anaerobic oxidation of methane (AOM). Through geochemical measurements of incubation experiments with methane seep sediments collected from Hydrate Ridge, we provide insight into the role of iron oxides in sulfate-driven AOM. Seep sediments incubated with (13)C-labeled methane showed co-occurring sulfate reduct...
متن کاملRheological and Mechanical Properties of Light Weight Self-Compacting Concrete Containing Sirjan Iron Mine Waste
Recycling is a logical option for materials that are not suitable for composting. One of these materials is iron mines waste that, according to their compounds, can be used as a substitute part of cement in concrete. For this aim, rheological and mechanical properties and durability of light weight self-compacting concrete (LWSCC) containing Sirjan iron mine waste (SIMW) as partial substitute o...
